Description
So for this I literally just was listening to Florence + the Machine, one of the key words in alot of her music is water. Specificly in "What The Water Gave Me" she says, "She's a cruel mistress, and a bargain must be paid, so oh my love don't forsake me, when I let the water take me." So I was sitting there, in my basement, thinking what the water would look like.
Instantly a picture of an African woman and her cheek bones came into my mind. I Made the eyes black, the iris white, and the pupils black to add abit of a anger to her face. The face is basicly litteraly dissolving into the water, I didn't feel like drawing all the water, it would have taken away from the focus.

Great drawing! Reading your commentary makes more sense to me and although I already knew she is an African woman I disagree with the proportions of her nose. I feel her nose needs to be a bit large or wider I should say. I think You have good anatomy skills and if you keep on drawing you will only get better. I love your idea with the colors dissolving into water. Very artistic indeed! The black eyes are a bit creepy for me but it is very original if I may say so. Good luck and keep the drawings coming!
